Eczema & Barrier Repair

The skin barrier is the outermost layer, and its job is to keep water in and irritants out. When it is compromised, by over-cleansing, over-exfoliating, cold weather or a condition such as eczema, skin stings, flakes and reacts to products it used to tolerate. Repair means replacing what it has lost: ceramides, cholesterol and fatty acids, with panthenol and centella to calm things while it recovers. The other half of the job is doing less for a while.
