Bakuchiol

Bakuchiol is a plant-derived alternative to retinol, and the evidence for it is genuine if far thinner.

It works on the look of fine lines and uneven tone without the adjustment period, dryness or sun sensitivity retinol brings. That makes it worth considering for sensitive or rosacea-prone skin, and during pregnancy, where retinoids are avoided.
