Ferulic Acid

Ferulic acid is an antioxidant in its own right, but its real value is what it does for others. It stabilises L-ascorbic acid, which is notoriously prone to oxidising, and extends the reach of vitamin C and vitamin E together. That is why it appears in the vitamin C serums with the strongest evidence behind them rather than on its own.
