Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid is a humectant: it binds water and holds it in the upper layers of the skin. Molecular size decides where it sits, so formulas often combine several weights to hydrate at more than one depth. It plumps the look of fine lines caused by dehydration rather than by ageing, and works best applied to damp skin under a moisturiser that seals it in.
