Squalane

Squalane is a lightweight emollient close to a lipid the skin already makes. It softens and seals without the heaviness of a butter or the instability of a plant oil, and it is non-comedogenic, which is unusual among oils. That combination makes it one of the few emollients that suits oily and dehydrated skin as readily as dry skin.
