Vitamin E

Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant that works in the skin's lipid layers, where water-soluble antioxidants cannot reach. It is rarely the headline active and almost always a supporting one, most often alongside vitamin C, because the two regenerate each other and cover more of the free radical spectrum together than either does alone.
