Resurfacing & Texture

Resurfacing means clearing the dull, uneven layer of dead cells sitting on the surface. Acids do this more evenly than a scrub: glycolic goes deepest and stings most, lactic is gentler, and polyhydroxy acids are gentler still. Retinoids work differently, by speeding cell turnover from below. All of them increase sun sensitivity, so they belong in an evening routine with sunscreen the following day.
